I currently live on my friends' small homestead which raises goats, sheep and poultry, and has modest herb and vegetable gardens. It is by no means self-sufficient, although a great deal of what we consume was produced here. Most of what I do is basic home cooking with the occasional foray into various ethnic cuisines. I'm a fairly brave cook and for better or for worse, my motto is "How hard can it be?" There are some random posts here about weird foods, tacky vintage cookbooks or strange eating habits, mine and/or others'. I like to dine out, but I don't get to do it very often.
